Being More Purposeful in My Planning

OpenSourceKyle

I went back to the US and finally got rid of the remainder of my possessions there. Although there are a few things that will continue to tie me to the US (for good reason), I effectively have fewer reasons to return. I am bringing back some things that are helpful to my goals (old Ninja blender for shakes, exercise roller for muscles, 2nd monitor for computer work, noise maker for sleep, etc.).

After talking to a local friend, I decided not to return to classes at my local uni. I might go sporadically but the bottom line generally is that they: don’t fit my goals, take too much time, and a very Mexican problem is that classes often start late, get canceled, or end early because assignments weren’t completed. I enjoyed my “trial” classes, but I will learn more efficiently outside of class. Also, no disrespect, but 20-somethings are not relatable so far as my goals – we’re in different life stages, so it’s not a good use of my time professionally.

This will be my 3rd trial running Modafinil. Yes, it’s a fad nootropic, but it is used on-label for daytime tiredness and sleep issues. Although I’m optimizing my sleep as much as possible before my sleep study (for a CPAP) in Jan, Moda has seemed to help me with the days that I have incredible tiredness (i.e. literally can’t think or function). I am super sensitive to it, so I have it dosed very low and spaced to not give me insomnia. Overall, while not a silver bullet, it seems to work very well and especially helps me function in Spanish if I am tired.

Meeting tomorrow with my nutrition coach. Few client meetings. Tues Mexican culture lesson in pueblito. Currently journaling weekly and quarter goals (a little late but fine).

REMEMBER ME: I feel BETTER when I achieve and get shit done. Resting feels that much sweeter when I work hard and connect deeper.
