The Xth New Beginning

What’s up peeps – after some time thinking, I am returning to journaling and tracking my progress. In a lot of ways, I feel that I’m starting over for the millionth time. But I realized that if I want to be the man that I dream to be, I want and need to track my actions to keep my awareness up. Having reflected a lot on my summer 2023, I realized that at the time it felt like one of the lowest points in my life BUT I grew an incredible amount in so many ways (more than maybe any other point of my life). It’s interesting for me to realize how much I idealize that short period of my life when at that time I felt incredibly low (though now I feel incredibly high about that time). But this is good information, I am most proudest of when I grew, took action, and worked hard even when my mood was at my lowest. This is my own empirical proof that my mood does not dictate my long-term experience. In fact, over the last few months, my mood has been incredibly good – I am ready.

Going forward, I’m going to use my old format, and I’ll tweak it as I figure out what more I want from this as always. This is a great method for me to take action.

Anyways, a quick summary is in order. Since my last post, I have:

  • continued half-marathon training (currently in month 5)
  • worked on a ranch in Jalisco for 1 month
  • resumed w/ my 1st coaching client and have a first meeting today with 2nd client
  • developed biz more so far as website and content – collabing with a friend on the content side
  • signed up for some basic nutrition/fitness coaching with a local friend; signed up for a gym membership (have avoided it here in Mex)

💥 Biz Actions:

  • Now that I have 2 clients, I’ve been tweaking some biz processes. I had my 2nd client go through my scheduling setup and have my calendars integrated to keep myself well-organized time-wise.
  • I have some biz/sales videos to go through.
  • Resume work on my website and articles along with content (videos of my articles or experiences) with collab friend

🇲🇽 Mexico:

  • Resuming with Spanish tutor this week
  • Started BIG book (900 pgs) in Spanish
  • Need to figure out my issue I’ve been having with their Tax bureaucracy

⚕️ Wellness:

  • Diet: starting with food journal; order Instapot to cook my old weightlifter staples easily
  • Exercise: run 3x/wk; starting lifting today
  • Sleep: various actions on that and have med appt in Jan for sleep study

❤️‍🔥 Dates/Relationships:

  • Still seeing my ladyfriend – no changes to that. She’s great.
  • I had gone on a few dates before the Ranch.
  • I would like to meet someone else, but I don’t feel like putting much effort into dating. Really more of a tradeoff of I want good quality vs effort. I don’t feel my dates really led to much quality. I know that’s my bottleneck

🔧 Self-Development:

  • Resume classes at local uni tomorrow
  • Going back to the US later this week to get rid of my last final possessions left there
