Grinding Out My Last Days At My Jobs
Trying to pass my short time left in the US with a lot of work. A lot to report, but I’ll spare most of it. The big enchilada is waiting for me in Mexico.
Actions
- Worked computer job: Tue-Fri & bartended: Wed-Sun. Double-worked Wed, Thu, and Fri to bank that $$$.
- Gave away more possessions and got rid of more stuff.
- Rest week from gymnastics; ran 3x/wk – a few 10+ mile walk/run days this past week.
- Kept up journaling/actions: sleep, food, Spanish, daily – “failed” on guitar.
- Finished a few audiobooks in English. Struggling through one in Spanish.
Random non-Action Highlights
- Guitar instructor said he could tell that I’m “really happy” with my future plans – he’s noticed a change in my demeanor, WHICH is great since I feel it.
- Friend noted my improved mood and mindset (even about negative things).
- A couple of co-workers (both women) said they were talking about me and how much they appreciate my “masculinity” <– pretty sick and best compliment all week.
- Got into an argument with my manager last week (he’s a cunt)… again, not necessarily “proud” of being angry and argumentative, but happy to continue standing up for myself. Will cultivate this more, but I won’t go back to being a pushover.
I’m doing the work even when it feels like I’m not. Onwards and upwards.
